And what a surfing September it’s been in Bali

Being pressed for time but of habitual nature, your blog correspondent offers the duh! observation that this has been a very, very good surfing September. Not that long ago, I’d have to say “a very good September so far and let us hope for more,” but these days, we have the wizardly prognosticating machine called the surf forecast that assures us it will continue.

Anyway, here’s another of my lyric rearrangements. “Try to Remember” was a hit by the Brothers Four I remember from waaaay back in my early school days. Here’s a Youtube video
How quaint they look! In need of a Kuta tattoo parlor.

TRY TO REMEMBER (surfer’s version, first stanza only):

Try to remember the kind of September
when the surf was good and oh so hollow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when the waves were blue and the reefs so shallow.
Try to remember the kind of September
when you were a fit and hardcore fellow,
Try to remember those days of September
now that you’re old and mellow

Lol! Memories are eventually all one has. Perhaps that why surf adventures are a better investment than material possessions 🙂

Brothers 4 … ‘ Here Here ‘ Vic De Los Santos … Quaint they may be but these days especially, the exception over the norm .. I don’t get the tats thing.

Come on Bear …….you remember the late season sessions at Impossibles in the 90’s when it was actually possible!! It lined up better ……..well cause it did as the memories fade but mate always remember to never let the truth get in the way of a good story. Will be paddling out next big swell. ….see ya then.
